What are DP charges (Depository Participant charges)?

When you sell shares (or other securities) from your Demat account in the Indian stock market, you must pay DP charges, which stand for Depository Participant charges. When you purchase shares, they are not billed.

How are DP charges calculated?

  1. When you sell shares from your Demat account, you will be charged DP (Depository Participant) fees. For MoneySukh and the majority of brokers, they are normally calculated as follows:

    • The daily rate for each exchange is ₹13.5 + GST per ISIN (stock).
