What is a bonus issue?

Bonus issues occur when a business distributes free extra shares from its accumulated profits or reserves to current shareholders based on how many shares they currently own.

Why haven't the bonus shares appeared in the holdings despite the price drop?

  1. If a bonus issue has caused the share price to drop but the bonus shares aren't yet visible in your holdings, this is typically the result of technical or processing delays.
  2. Or you can contact the customer support executive:

Why has the average price been reduced after receiving bonus shares?

When you receive bonus shares, the average price per share falls to reflect the increase in your total number of shares without incurring additional costs.

How do I know if I am eligible for bonus shares?

If you own the company's shares on the "record date" for the bonus issue, you are qualified to receive bonus shares.
